Nursery - KG2

Welcome to our ARKIS preschool! We believe that preschool years is the most important station in the students’ academic life. It is the foundation years that enable students to launch to their learning lifelong journey. Therefore, we at ARKIS pay special attention to this stage.

We also believe that building students’ social and personal skills is important as developing their academic and technology skills in order to have a balanced personality able to adapt and perform in any society.

Learning through play is one of the important methods that we use to achieve our aims with our kids. Through play, children can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments. Core values of empathy, accountability, teamwork, and leadership amongst others are embedded in the learning journey of our students.

We always offer an on-going excited activities which help in enriching our students’ school life. We have Ice Cream Day, Hat Day, Pyjama Day and other activities for national and international occasions such as Bahrain National Day, Peace Day, Health Day and many others.

We are starting the Cambridge program from KG2 onwards, so we help our students to be:

• Confident in working with information and ideas – their own and those of others

• Responsible for themselves, responsive to and respectful of others

• Reflective as learners, developing their ability to learn

• Innovative and equipped for new and future challenges

• Engaged intellectually and socially, ready to make a difference

Elementary (Grade 1 - Grade 5)

ARKIS Elementary school works in hand with middle and high schools to achieve the school’s vision. Our aim is to bring up principled and enthusiastic learners who will contribute highly in developing our local and global community.

Not only do we strive for academic attainment and personal wellbeing, but also we try our best to create a conducive learning environment where students are empowered to be inquirers and reflective through our rich bilingual curricular.

In an effort to meet the different needs of our students, Elementary school has instituted a variety of programs that aim to provide effective instructions. Hence, SRA Labs (Levelled Readers), Guided Reading, Literature Circles, etc… helped to develop confident readers, who can take ownership of their own work and progress. Those programs enabled our students to hone their communication and critical-thinking skills by responding to literature, working collaboratively, taking decisions, unleashing their imagination and nurture the love of reading.

In order to enhance the students’ learning experience and overall development, ARKIS encourages students to explore and try different extracurricular activities where students are given opportunities to acquire and practise new skills. Apart from promoting social development by encouraging participants to work together, our extracurricular activities foster emotional, physical and cognitive development.

High School (Grade 9 - 12)

At is ARKIS we aim to graduate individuals who will contribute positively to society. Our programmes, both the IGCSE and the IBDP are popular international programmes which help develop strong academic, social and emotional students. These programmes have a unique academic rigour and are accessible to learners of all abilities. Our main goal is to develop the students’ personal and social skills, allow them to excel academically, think critically, and be independent learners.

ARKIS is a certified Cambridge International Examination (CIE) Centre where the Cambridge curricula programmes are taught and in Gr 9 & 10 the school provides a range of IGCSE subjects at an international core and extended curriculum to suit the students’ learning needs. This popular international curriculum provides a positive learning environment that enhances students’ learning and encourages lifelong learners. The IGCSE is a pre-requisite to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Grade 11.

ARKIS is also an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) school and we offer a two-year international diploma programme curriculum designed to challenge students academically. The programme is taught over two years in grades 11 and 12 and has gained recognition and respect from world’s leading universities.

Our team of internationally-experienced teachers model the attributes of the IB Learner Profile and encourage students to mindfully embrace and exemplify these attributes as well. We believe that strong parental participation is an integral part of a quality education and see parents as our partners in their children’s learning journey.

We offer many educational opportunities here at ARKIS and we strongly encourage students to participate in these programmes and extracurricular activities. Through these activities we hope to achieve a paradigm shift in every individual student, to eradicate prejudice and develop an appreciation of what is different through personal development and growth, in addition to having the opportunity to represent Bahrain both nationally and internationally.

Fees Structure  ( Academic Year 2020-2021)

Fees Non-inclusive:

• Registration fees for new admission BD 150

Other Fee:  *

• Extra-curricular activity Nurs – Gr. 5 BD 30
• UCMAS fees & Course Material KG2-Gr.8 BD 140
• IGCSE fee Gr. 9 & 10 BD 300
• IB fee Gr.11 & Gr.12 BD 300

Terms & Condition:

• Term 1 fee must be paid in June 2020.
• Term 2 fee must be paid in Jan 2021.
• BD 100/- should be paid to reserve a seat for each student, which will be deducted from Term 1 fee.
• BD 100/- paid to reserve a seat is non-refundable in case of withdrawal.
• Students withdrawing before 31/8/2020, fees will be refunded after a deduction of BD 150/-. In case of withdrawal after 31/8/2020, fees will be non-refundable.
• Late IGCSE/IB Registration Fees will be borne by Parents.
• Subject to the approval from Ministry of Education, School fees may be increased.
