Al- Hekma International School (AHIS) is a co-educational international school offering an American curriculum from Pre-school to High School (PS-Grade 12). The school was founded in 1985 and is fully accredited by the Bahraini Ministry of Education and by two world-wide recognised accreditation organisations: Middle States Association for Accreditation of Colleges & Schools (MSA) and North Central Association (NCA) in the U.S.A. AHIS is affiliated with highly recognised educational institutions that provide professional development and support for improvement and growth such as NESA, ASCD, UNESCO, PTC. Al-Hekma provides its students with modern spacious buildings, vast playgrounds, sports facilities and highly equipped science, music, art and computer labs supporting the educational programs. The school offers its students a wide range of clubs and activities during and after school hours to produce well-rounded personalities with healthy social skills. In the process of their growth, we offer our students a high quality of education enabling them to handle responsibility with determination and confidence.

- Students applying from outside of Bahrain must attest last year report card from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy of Bahrain, and then present these documents to Ministry of Education in Bahrain to receive an equivalency letter.
- Students must sit for entrance exams in English, Arabic, and Math. Non-Arabic speaking students will be exempted from the Arabic entrance exam.
- Students must attend an interview to determine eligibility for enrolment.
- Students are only allowed to submit one application form per year.
- The school reserves the right to terminate the registration or expel a student if he/she does not abide by the school rules and regulations.
- Any student who left the school, dismissed, or withdrew – is not allowed to re-apply. He/She should submit a re-entry application carrying his/her previous number.
- Acceptance or rejection of enrolment is at the sole discretion of the admission committee. Both interviews and entrance exams must be passed to be considered for admission.
