Strong Students. Strong Community.
Schools are a place to learn. We want students to learn to read and write in Arabic and English. We want them to be able to solve math problems and be able to conduct science experiments. We want them to be critical and creative thinkers. And we want them to do it with a purpose.
Strong education's purpose is to serve the community. Students who have a strong academic background are prepared to participate and contribute to their families, neighborhoods, their country, and the world. That may be through being an excellent engineer and building roads. Or running a business that provides jobs and goods and services that people want. Education has a purpose, but it is guided by a philosophy.
Strong community is taught. We all need practice looking out for each others needs. We all need to learn to work with people with whom we disagree. We all need to learn to be ready and willing to serve one another.
Strong community is demonstrated. Everyone at Al Raja believes that it is important for all staff and parents to demonstrate what living together and loving is all about. When students see this modeled, they will see what it means to participate and work out differences. By doing this, we contribute an essential element to strong students, who can go out and help build strong communities.
- Parents who wish to enroll their children for the 2020-2021 school year must visit the school and fill out the application form.
- Parents who want to register will need to bring:
- Copy of CPR and Passport of the students applying
- BHD 30 registration fee
- Copy of CPR for both parents
- Copy of birth certificate
- Copy of vaccination for applicants from KG2 - Grade 1
- Copy of report cards for the last two years and last semester for this current year.
- All new students are required to sit for an entrance test to check their math and language skills and may be asked to take part in an interview with a senior administrator.
- If space permits and the student meets the expectations of the school, parents will be notified of their child’s acceptance. At this point a non-refundable registration fee must be paid to secure the place. If there is no space in a class and the student meets the expectations of the school, parents will be notified that their child has been placed on the waiting list. Only when a space opens is the registration fee to be paid.
- Parents who enroll their child in the school agree to accept school policies. Application forms will be accepted during the month of February, but no decisions will be made with regard to acceptance until the registration period has been completed for students already enrolled in the school.
