Vision
BPS is committed to enhancing the intellectual and personal development of its students, equipping them with the passion for inquiry learning, ensuring academic excellence and preparing active responsible global citizens
Mission
BPS is a future focused community where learning is based on inquiry to develop successful independent learners in an environment that harbors respect and responsibility, stimulates inquiry, creativity and innovation, fosters higher order thinking, and promotes collaboration and communication.
At BPS, all students are provided with equity learning experiences serving the needs, interests and learning styles of each child. And we are committed to helping each student to embrace learning as a lifelong quest. We:
- Provide a challenging and engaging curriculum based on the Common Grounds Collaborative (CGC) approach
- Encourage creativity and empower our learners to take part in the learning process and concretize their vision through implementing the inquiry based approach. The lifelong quest process is filled with opportunities to observe, explore, inquire, and create
- Foster a school climate that is positive, safe, healthy and enjoyable
- Acknowledge the readiness, learning styles, needs and development of each learner
- Provide diverse strategies so each learner reaches his/her full potential as an autonomous, creative and critical thinker
- Implement a multi-lingual program (Arabic/English or English/French for non-Arab students) where students will be able to take responsibility for their learning under the leadership of competent educators
- Develop an active partnership and positive constructive relationship with parents, educational and non-educational communities in Bahrain
One Campus - Three Schools
BPS offers a Bilingual Program of studies from the Early Childhood year through Grade 12 of the Secondary School.
The Early Childhood year has around 100 students, divided into six divisions, each taught by one English Native Speaker Teacher and one Arabic Native English Speaker Teacher, supported by one English Speaker Assistant Teacher and One Arabic Speaker Assistant Teacher.
The Early Childhood facilities are spacious, well lit, with classrooms enjoying large window open to the outside playground and gardens, and also open to a Central Learning Common that extends the Classroom Learning to the Exploration and Creation Activities.

BPS PRINCIPLES
In line with the CGC Learning Ecosystem, we are capacity builders, working with our students to help them develop into self-directed and independent learners who consistently demonstrate:
Conceptual Learning:
Learners are "critical thinkers 'experts" in working with significant ideas. They will be able to:
- Identify issues
- Frame conceptual questions
- Gather and analyze information
- Form hypotheses
- Test and modify these hypotheses in a range of contexts
Competency Learning:
Learners are "experts" in the application of the key skills necessary for success. They will be able to:
- Direct their own guided inquiry processes
- Collaborate effectively and efficiently in diverse contexts
- Use language fluently and precisely for a range of purposes
Character Learning:
Learners are "positive experts" in dealing with human relationships in specific authentic context. They will be consistently exhibiting positive learning dispositions and core personal values:
- Integrity (Principled, Honesty, Trust)
- Resilience (Perseverance)
- Reflection (Self- Awareness)
- Empathy (Caring, Service)
- Playfulness (Intrinsic Motivation)
Admission to the school
Application Process
Applications are considered in order of date of application. The main point of contact for all admissions enquiries is the Admission and Learner Affairs Coordinator. This Coordinator liaises with all families throughout the application process. BPS has a clearly structured online application on the school’s website. Parents may contact the School’s Admissions Office for help and advice.
The following steps are followed to initiate the admissions application online:
Step 1:
Parents complete the online application form along with the required legal, academic and medical documents.
Step 2:
Upon completion of the online application form, parents receive an email confirming that their account has been created. A dedicated login, password and link for the parents’ login page (Portal) are sent electronically. A nonrefundable application fee is due after the application is submitted via online payment. Parents are reminded at this stage that completion of the application form does not guarantee enrollment. For Early Childhood and KG1, an online questionnaire, provided by the Admissions Office, must also be completed with the application.
Step 3:
As soon as the required online application and all the required documents are received and screened by the Admissions Office, the learner’s file is sent to the divisional principal/section coordinator to determine whether the applicant is eligible to sit a learning profile assessment/interview.
Step 4:
If the application is deemed eligible to proceed, the Admissions Office notifies parents of the relevant decision and schedules the assessment/interview date. The director, the divisional principal and the curriculum coordinator review the results of the assessment/interview and make the final decision on acceptance. The Admission Office then informs parents of the decision and explains the next steps in the process as soon as possible - usually from three to five working days. Parents may log in to their account regularly to track progress. The Admissions Office makes every effort to help and guide parents through the process and they may contact the school at any time if they have questions or require assistance.
APPLICATION FEE
BD 30 non-refundable application fee is due at the time of application.
