Introduction to QES
Quality Education School inaugurated in 2003 was born with the desire of providing not just academic based education but a wholesome holistic learning experience to children. Promoted by a team of successful businessmen and qualified professionals the school started off in the Kanoo Garden campus with a limited number of students. The school grew from strength to strength and today the school has created a name for itself in the academic arena of Bahrain. The school now has the luxury of two well-planned fully functional campuses one at the Khalil Kanoo Garden (Salmaniya) and the other at Zamil Garden, located in Budaiya.
QES attempts to meet academic and developmental needs of every child by offering age appropriate and child centric curriculum. The teaching methodology uses inquiry and exploration by students. Though the focus is on Academics, Quality Education School offers a rich program that combines, Art, Music and Athletics as part of core curriculum.
The child-friendly facilities of the campus, informal learning, value based education and individual attention are hallmarks at Quality Education School.
Our Strength
At QES we believe that each child is unique. The inherent talent hidden within each child is varied. In order to identify the uniqueness of each student, the teachers must know their students in depth, that’s why at QES we believe in maintaining a student teacher ratio between 1:15 and 1:20. This ensures that individual attention is provided to every one of our students.
At QES we believe confidence is a key ingredient in achieving success, that’s why we provide our students with ample opportunities to participate in intra and inter-school competitions. The environment at school encourages them to actively participate in such events.
Activities
Education is the holistic development of a child. With this thought in mind, QES has designed various extra curricular activities for its students such as:
-Class Assemblies
Class Assemblies are held on weekly basis. Each assembly has a theme which is based on some moral values. The students display various activities like theme song, speech, short stories in order to bring out the importance of the moral value. In these assemblies prizes are given to the students for the competition’s held during the week. We also sing the National Anthem and say the school prayer.
-Competitions
This communicative era demands better communicative skills from the students. The Language teachers hold well-guided speaking sessions in the school. Several competitions are held throughout the year like speech, recitation, handwriting, creative skills etc. These competitions are held in different levels (classes). The winners are given certificates during the class assemblies.
-Workshops
QES utilizes the facilities from different walks of the society for the benefit of the students. It conducts talks and workshops on different topics like health ( by dentists, gynecologists, dieticians etc.), career guidance, psychology, counseling, finance, banking etc by various professionals in this island.
-Science Clubs
The school provides ample opportunities for the students to work on their innovative ideas through the Science Club. The experiments conducted by the students will be displayed in regular sessions as exhibitions.
-Book Exhibitions
To encourage the students to improve their reading habits, the school conducts a book fair annually. The different publishers acquaint the students with a wide range of books. Both students and their parents were interested in buying books and CDs.
-Sports Club
QES has an active Sports Club where the students are given maximum opportunities to show their talents in sports. The school also routinely conducts various Inter-House competitions for all age groups as part of the curriculum and encourages participation of all students. Thursdays are assigned as the Activity day and time allocated to various activities that cater to a variety of interests.
-Field Trips:
At QES we believe in the concept of learning with fun. The school organizes field trips to theme parks, factories & wild life parks from time to time to ensure that the children have fun whilst learning at the same time. Field trips also help in building an easy camaraderie between the classmates, which again is a crucial angle in school life.
-After school activities (Future planning):
Future plans include introduction of summer camps , speaker forums & a range of games which encourage physical activity.
